Canine Agility is a dog sport patterned after equestrian jumping and military dog training. Each Dog, under the direction of their Handler, must maneuver an obstacle course full of jumps, tunnels, teeter-totters, A-frames, weave-poles, and dog-walks. Teamwork is the key ingredient. The sport enables you to develop a closer bond with your dog than you may ever have imagined possible.

To participate in our regular agility practices, dogs should have basic obedience skills and be well socialized.  BARC will conduct one-on-one/mentoring agility sessions to help you learn the sport with an experienced member.

Please note, that the members of BARC are not professional trainers, but are experienced in the sport and can provide guidance and years of knowledge.  BARC is a fun and safe place to practice your skills.

However, if you wish to compete in agility, a formal class may be your best option.  If you are interested in participating in competitive agility trials, click here.
