Rally-O stands for Rally Obedience.  Rally is a sport in which the dog and handler complete a course that has been designed to challenge but in a more relaxed, fun manner than standard obedience. The handler and their dog proceed at a steady pace through a course of numbered stations. Each of these stations has a sign providing instructions regarding the next obedience-related skill that is to be performed.  Unless otherwise specified in regulations, handlers are permitted to talk, praise, encourage, clap their hands, pat their legs, or use any verbal means of encouragement.

Rally provides a link between the Canine Good Neighbour Program and formal Obedience or Agility competition, if a person desires to pursue the sport competitively. In addition, Rally promotes fun and enjoyment for dogs at all levels of competition or recreational interest.

Informal courses will be set up on regular practice days if members have interest in setting up equipment. Learning is conducted through collective experience and cooperation and in accordance with CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) and CARO (Canadian Association of Rally Obedience) standards.
